I don't understand the warranty on my Allison transmission. I Purchased the MH in Dec.05 I cannot make heads or tails of the new product manual. it is a 1000 on WH W20. How long is the warranty good for. I have only driven the MH about a hundred miles. I hope I don't have some of the problems that I have read on here on this sight. Lots of good info on this sight.

Donald, looking at my warranty 1000 Series 0-36 months, no limit on miles,no charge for parts or labor. Make sure you change the external filter,RED, at 5000 miles to be covered under your present warranty. When the filter is removed there will be a circle magnet on filter that will have to be placed on new one. I have DEXRON-lll trans fluid good for 50,000 miles or 24 months. If you have the synthetic fluid , which you MAY have on 05, the change interval is even longer. YOU SHOULD HAVE A OPERATORS MANUAL from Allison with a New Product Warranty in a yellow envolope from Allison. As to problems with trans I haven't seen that many on this site, if at all, very reliable trans an engine combo for WH. "007"

If you don't have Transynd, I suggest that you make tracks over to your local neighborhood Allison Regional Service Center and go and have it installed. Your transmission will thank you for it. You can also extend your service interval to 4 years and 100,000 miles.
