A big "THANK YOU" to whoever started this discussion again, yesterday I ordered a VIP 18" Steering Wheel fron RonTheBusNut at 3:30 PM. Today at 1:30 PM it arrived, by 4:45 PM I had the MH out of the garage, and at 5:15 PM I had a new larger 18" leather rapped steering wheel installed $136.86 including shipping.

Very happy, when I start out on my next trip it's going to be hard trying to get me to "Stop Driving" with that large Wheel that now enables me to see how fast I am driving and the rest of the instrament pannel.

That was the big thing, whith the old steering wheel where it was comfortable, I could not see all the instrament pannel.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed to this subject.

DriVer, you may be correct, but! I trid to order a "Steering Wheel and Horn Button" from my local Workhorse Service Center, even had printout of one of your previous articals on replacement 18" Wheel and Horn Button with me that I handover to them, with my name and phone number, to claa me when it came in.

I even asked for a quote on "how much $$ for them to install", that was two months and 4 phone calls ago. When this subject appeared again (as I stated a few posts ago) THANKS, I went to RBM, and I for one am happy.

By the way my Workhorse Service Center is a "Cummins Diesel Dealer".

They (even after looking at your pictures and PN's) didn't have a clue on where to look to order parts! Yet they did my CC recall, and my IP recall. Go figure!

How easy was it to remove the steering wheel? How do you get the cover off to get to the bolt that holds it on?<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Originally posted by RVDriver:

[QUOTE]Originally posted by simplyrob:

Read the instructions before you start and you should be able to change the wheel in about 30 minutes including the small mod you may have to make to the horn wire.

Torque down the nut, do not over tighten. Snap in your Workhorse Horn Button and you're all set.

Note: The new Workhorse SSC Option will feature the new SSC Logo in the horn button as well as new SSC logos on the outside of the coach.

I had the 18" leather wrapped steering wheel installed on our 2003 Gulf Stream Sun Voyager Trio by my Workhorse dealer for $65.00. It is the best money I have ever spent. Now I can see the full instrument panel, plus the steering improved dramatically.
