Was wondering if anyone has used Mobil Delvac Synthetic ATF ( TES-295 ) specification (AN-051005 ) in there Allison 1000 ? I was thinking of using it in my 2005 W-20. thanks in advance.

fun 33V, That's fine, no problems. If the fluid meets or exceeds TES-295 you are good to go!

DriVer, a while back Allison only recommended Transynd Synthetic oil for their transmission if you wanted to go the synthetic route. Has that changed or is it still true today? I've got Transynd in my tranny and like it fine but don't like the fact that most garages or auto supply stores don't stock Transynd and many have never heard of it.

As long as the fluid meets Allison spec TES 295, you can use it. A list of fluids that meet the spec can be found HERE.

295 is 295... Same as Dex III was Dex III no matter who made it.

I am going to give him a turn to analyze my oil in the RV and my new 5.7L Hemi. Here is a link to his web site JG Lubricant Services
