Auto park problem

We have 97 Pace Arrow Vision, on a I believe a p30 chassis.when going into reverse the auto park lite would not go out and the auto park brake would not release. It would release in neutral went it is real close to going into drive. Going forward is not problem. Is there any kind of adjustments.

For what it is worth, I have been able to pull clevis pins with only small problems...dropped long noses on my face etc. Old used bear, (Roger) spent quite a while on the phone with me on cell phone under RV. He just forgot to tell me not to drop things on my face. His advice led me to the shift lever switch located behind metal panel in wheel well. I was able to accomplish location and adjustment with out jacking up RV. Just turned the wheels. By the way, this particular problem can be solved temporarily by pulling plug in front of radiator and putting in jumper wire.
