Battery Boost Not Working
Went out to start RV, no luck, battery was dead. Tried to use the battery boost, pushed it in and turned the key nothing. House batteries where charged so I don't think that was a problem. Is there a fuse that I can check, or something else? I put a battery charger on the battery and RV started.
I have a Trail-lite 34' class A 2006.

Have you tried the Boost feature since you recharged the battery, remember it takes some battery power to activate the Boost.

I had a bad solenoid that when replaced, it restored the operation of the battery boost circuit.

The boost solenoid is activated by the house batteries but if the chassis battery was completely discharged it might have been necessary to keep the switch pressed a minute or so as mentioned above.
It is easy to check the solenoid. While plugged into shore power measure the chassis battery voltage and then remeasure it while the AUX switch is pressed.
You should see an increase from 12.6 (if the chassis battery is fully charged and the engine hasn't been running for a day or more) to about 13.2 to 13.8 volts.

The emergency start feature energizes the battery isolator enabling the chassis/coach batteries to connect. If your using a solenoid isolator they tend to get stuck as they age - sometimes a quick rap on the solenoid will resolve the issue.

So what you're saying is sometimes you do need a BIGGER hammer!

There is a fuse for the boost switch. On our coach the antenna booster shares the fuse with the battery boost switch. If the fuse is ok it could be your solenoid between battery banks. Most likely your alternator is not charging your house batteries while driving down the road if your booster is not working.

Yes, there is a fuse on my MH. It is 3 amp and is located behind the black relay that is located to the left of center on the circuit board that controls the houshold circuits. Yours may be different.
