I have a De-Humidifier in my gameroom. Is is safe to use that water to add to my batteries as it is extracted from the air and I asume it is like disstilled water. Would this be a good idea or bad as I have 4 12V Deep Cycle Wet Batteries....Thanks Chuck

The dehumidifier water will need to be completely filtered and the cleaner the better. Contaminants in the water if added to the battery cells directly will hasten their failure. Dehumidifiers also pull in micro particles and dust.

A gallon of distilled water cost about .80 and it's already filtered.

Only the best for my batteries... I use Reverse Osmosis water from the tap in my motorhome.
