I was cleaning out the garage and discovered a case of Mobil One 10W30 which is seven years old. It is in plastic bottles unopened. Does oil have a shelf life? I liked to use my new found Texas Tea for an oil change.

No oil does not have a shelf life...might want to make sure that the bottles have not collected condensation however. Otherwise should be fine to use.

For what it's worth, ExxonMobil says 5 years. See HERE.

Rusty, Is that how long it will be before they think about settling and cutting a check for the Valdez disaster.

It is interesting to note that the alarmists who stated as fact that it would take decades to clean up that spill were dead wrong (as usual). There is little if any evidence of the spill anywhere near the area. As has been since discovered, sea water "eats" crude oil!

Guys I don't think we need to go down this road. Unfortunately I'm going to have to lock down the thread.
The question was asked and answered.
