I'm trying to install the tiger trak on my 2008 Southwind 35A on a W22. The kit is the right one but the exhaust joins together before the axle and then goes up and over on the passenger side. The bar will hit the exhaust pipe if it is put on as pictured (no exhaust pipe in their picture) but if you reverse the bar then it clears the exhaust and connects fine. The only concern is that it is now closer to the bracket on the differential - still looks like enough travel that it won't hit anything. Has anyone had the same problem and what did you do? To change the exhaust routing would be difficult and probably expensive. Thanks.

There are basically 2 types of track bars. One is straight and the second looks like it has a serious Z in it. If you have an over differential exhaust system, you will need the bar that's configured like a Z.
I would recommend that you not consider modifying the exhaust system but get a track bar that fits. My frame anchor is located on the right hand rail. (pax side)
I have a straight track bar because my exhaust pipes exit in front of he rear tires.

I do have the one that is like a Z. If you attach it one way (the Blue Ox logo right side up so you can read it from the front) then it pushes on the exhaust. If you reverse the bar (logo is upside down) then it clears the exhaust but there is not as much room between the bar and the differential as there would be installed the other way. I really don't know how much travel this bar will move. What I got is the proper kit for the W22 (only one that was listed for W22) and there was no mention of exhaust configuration, motorhome length, etc. So my question is has anyone tried it this way re the clearance. There shouldn't be any problem which way the bar connects (re strength) since it is a solid bar. I was looking at the UltraTrac bar and asked the same question. Their tech said to reverse the bar and it would work. My problem is I'm in Canada and no one handles UltraTrac here so I went with the Blue Ox which I got locally. I talked to my MH dealer and they suggested I go the modify exhaust route so I didn't pursue it further with them (i.e. waste my time!!).

i would install the bar so that it clears the exhaust system. then check the clearances when lowering your moho and raising it on your leveling jacks. maybe you can reverse the bar ends for clearance by putting the bar end with the adjustment on the frame instead of the pumpkin?
i had to grind metal off the pumpkin (in the installation procedure) to get a flat surface to install the bracket.
rather than posting pics of my installation, check oemy's website for his excellent installation procedure with pictures. my bar is blue, oemy's is red. aside from the color difference, they are the same.

To confirm the install than DAN L suggested, you need to see what the bar looks like when the vehicle's weight is completely off the jacks. Install the bar so it will clear the exhaust system. When you adjust the end of the bar (screw in/out the end of the bar) the vehicle needs to be completely on the ground and level. Check the anchor point on the frame. I'm thinking that there isn't an up or down but there might be.

I would call Blue Ox if I were you. It may be the safest option, if you don't want to do any exhaust work.

Thanks for all the replies, I called Blue Ox and they said the bar could go on both ways. I installed it and took it for a drive, seems to be fine. I did notice that passing large trucks was much more stable but it wasn't very windy so couldn't tell if it improved handling in a strong wind. It really makes you wonder why Workhorse doesn't do these modifications at the factory since there seems to be a large number of coaches with steering/control problems.
