Brake Booster noise

Hey everyone,
Just wondering if your brake booster makes noise when you push down the pedal? Mine has ever since I bought it from the previous owner, and he said it is normal. It does indeed say that some noise is normal in the manual.

Basically, mine makes a very very high pitched whine/whistle sound when I first apply the brakes, and the whine gets a little deeper sounding if I push down harder. No fluid is leaking, the brakes stop fine, and they haven't changed or gotten any worse over the past 7,000 miles of driving (including steep mountains). Just wanted to check and see if this is normal operation.

Yea, it can be noisy, and change it's tune. I would say it's fine. If you don't know when the fluid was last changed, change it. Won't make the sound change, but it will make you feel better.

Since 2005, I get the same "airish" sound. I would say it's normal but it still bothers my wife.
