This may have been discussed before and maybe I missed it. Why is there no caliper rebuild kit available with new pistons and other misc. parts with the new type materials available?
It seems to me they would be a lot cheaper to produce in quantity than entire calipers.

Here are the parts numbers from the Workhorse Parts Cross Reference
E11752 Caliper Rebuild Kit MFGR-Euclid Industries
E11751 Caliper Pistons MFGR-Euclid Industries
The MFGR-Euclid Industries, Cleveland. They do not sell or distribute. You have to go through a dealer.
I do not have any personal experience with this and just pass it along as information. Euclid Industries is owned by Arvin-Meritor the makers of the W24 brake system.

Only the most dedicated hobbyist is going to rebuild a caliper in my opinion. Regarding R&R a caliper plus labor it's cheaper than to R&R and rebuild plus no 2 calipers are likely to be rebuilt exactly the same.

Thanks for the info Dale. Do you know if these would be the same pistons that are going to be in the "New" calipers? If they are, it seems this would be a way to correct the problem without waiting for the new calipers. Of course, it would not clear the recall.

I have no idea... your guess is as good as mine.
Back when I had my Dodge van they honed the piston bore and installed a SS piston with with new seals on both front calipers.
