I know we have lots of experienced people on this forum at changing brake fluid so you guys would know if this is worth buying for the occasional user like me.

I've only bled brakes the old way, with 2 people, 1 pumping the pedal and the other opening and closing the bleeder.

I saw this at HF for only $18. I immediately thought of the MH, this forum , Driver and Dale. Is this worth buying or more trouble than it's worth?

With the master cylinder where it is on our MHs, I would'nt be able to use the new fluid container the way they show it in the instructions. Looks like I'd have to keep refilling it the old fashion way. Which also make me wonder if there is any advantage to it over the 2 person, brake pumping method.

My wife probably wouldn't be real thrilled with me if I asked her to pump the brakes with no power assist for an hour or 2. I'm only guessing since they are pretty long brake lines. Not to mention , either she has climb out to refill the master cylinder or I'd have to crawl out from under the MH.

Anybody used one of these?

I have not used this HF brake vacume pump, but I have used one that works in the same mannor. They work well, but watch the resivor close as it is very easy to pull the fluid quicky and drain the resivor. If this happends then you need to start all over as you have just added air in the brake lines.

those would be kinda small for the amount of fluid you want to remove. But for less than $20... its not bad.

I have a mity vac that I adapted a higher capacity reservoir too.

Max, I don't know anything about the bleeder device you're looking at however with a set of speed bleeders, I can flush my brakes by myself. It'll take some time I expect but I can do it. Oemy would be the go to guy for an opinion on the equipment you're looking at. He has a bleeder that he likes on his website.

I bought one before HF had them and paid thru the nose for it. I now use it to vacuum customers master cylinders after I install Speed Bleeders.

Refilling the master cylinder can be a pain.. so I modified a small hand pump garden sprayer to do the refill. I just removed the spray nozzle and added some plastic tubing. Now just fill the pump jar, pressurize the sprayer, insert the hose in the MC and press the button.

Thanks for your ideas guys.

I don't think I need this for no more than I will use it. I'll just do it the old fashion way. Pump the brakes and screw the bleeders. I didn't mean that to sound nasty

I used one and found it to be messy and slow. It helped empty the master cylinder but I finally went back to the 2 man system - much quicker and cleaner to bleed the wheel cylinders.
