It may not have fallen off but may be intentionally disconnected. If it is disconnected there won't be a sensor to connect it to. What color are the wires that are disconnected? A picture would help.

The single "Purple" wire is a connection for the differential sensor. The sensor is located if physically present in between the pipes that come from the side facing you of the master cylinder. One line feeds the front brakes and the other line feeds the back brakes.

If there is no sensor in between the pipes, the purple wire is redundant, not used, and maybe simply tied off and disregarded.

I can tell it were connect to the master cylinder, it look like it was glue to the master cylinder between the pipe. Last week I has a new a/c fan install and I thinks they accident knock it off. I did drive it to GA (300 miles) yesterday without any problem.

rvGator, What year motorhome do you have?

It appears to me that the differential switch in the master cylinder may have broken off. Do you see anything like a broken plastic switch in between the pipes?

If the wire is disconnected (fell off) nothing will happen. If the wire were connected and the sensor were defective, and ABS lamp would be lit in your instrument panel. Is there a large connector on the end of the purple wire?

DriVer

2005 model

The purple wire is connect to plastic thing (approx. 2 or 3 inch). This piece plastic broken off from the reservoir between the pipe.

I think this is the piece plastic

Brake Hardware that fits GM/Workhorse

The small silver rod is still in the reservoir.

Hope this make sense to you

I know exactly what you are talking about now. The broken switch is what is called a "Differential Pressure Switch." (DPS) This device is redundant and although it may be broken it's not necessary to the operation of your vehicle. Mine is broken too but in my case a new switch was installed however it didn't fix anything. New Workhorse chassis will still have the purple wire however there's no hole in the casting for a switch so it was eliminated.

The switch is available at the Workhorse Service Center. You can replace it if you want to however if you connect it back up and it sets an ABS lamp on your IP, the only way you are going to fix that is by disconnecting the wire on the DPS. My purple wire is tied off and my ABS still works.
