I am setting this poll up to gather some data about the brake issues discussed on this forum. So, in that light please be honest with your answers.
All follow on posts should pertain to the poll. Any others will be edited or deleted.

Great poll, Dale!
But how about addressing how the imminent brake failure of the Workhorse Chassis built motorhome hurt the resale value?

I almost forgot Dale, thanks again for sending me the replacement door striker a few months back. I've certainly saved a lot of money in replacement shirts!

abark,
The question is not relative to the poll.

I assumed pulling a trailer is the same as pulling a car?

Thanks Dale for the poll.
By this poll:
1. We still dont know what YEAR models are having the brake problems.
2. We don't know what CHASSIS are having the brake problems.
I'm not sure what we find out by this poll except "some" (a percentage) of people are having problems....just dont know on what chassis or year model chassis.
Thats what language I was trying to get straight before this poll went out. What chassis are the problem ones, and what year models are the problem ones.

Resale value has nothing to do with brake perceptions. Most all used Class A motorhomes values have tanked. My friend has been recently looking to buy an 08 Allegro Bay however his 2005 trade is worth less than half of what he paid for it.

Interesting poll, but it did not address my problem which was a warped rotor which was turned on the lathe, under warranty.
There have been no further problems, and yes I have pulled the fuse. Coach now has over 32,000 miles on it.

Interesting poll. . . . however, wasn't able to answer exactly as we did not have a complete overhaul (to include calipers), but could not check both rotors and brake pads for partial. Also no option for all four wheels on partial repair. Our repair was to replace all four rotors, brake pads, fluid, etc., but not calipers. Our repair was not made at an authorized WH facility as we were traveling, out of warranty, knew nothing about this ongoing problem with brakes so we were at the mercy of the nearest facility.

Max,
Towing is towing... trailer, car, pickup etc.
FRR,
I am not trying to duplicate what NHTSA is doing nor do I have the database of Vin #'s that Workhorse has. If I had that the poll would require a vin # and then we not have to ask general questions. Also, there is no "If Then" logic built into this poll code.
Bob, wa7hra
Where were you when I was designing this poll? But, I believe your problem falls until "Partial Rebuild".
JeeperJohn,
Again, where were you when I was designing this poll? Had I tried to cover all the bases with this simple poll the question list would be 4 pages long.
The bottom line people = Work with it or do your own.
It simply amazes me that nothing seems good enough for part of the folks that use these forums. If I sound PO'd I am. Next time something likes this comes up I will let someone else pick up the torch and I will complain and pick it apart.

There are a lot of W22 Chassis owners that have not had any brake problems and this does not seperate the W22 chassis that did and didn't have problems. I would like to Know how many didn't have problems but they are probably not going to fill out the survay

speed racer,
Where were you when I was designing this poll?
Sounds like you need to design and do a poll... and get the people to take it.
As I said in the design post... This survey will be skewed do to the requirements of forum membership and you must sign in.
Take it for what it worth... no more no less.

I think DriVer is still steaming over my campain to organize a "the phrase I'm not allowed to use" thing on the "Brake problems on the W22" forum.
"Should you chose to solicit any type of litigation activity on iRV2 I will be obliged to inform you a 2nd time to desist and subsequent postings will require me to consider additional measures including suspension."
