I have a 1999 P series chassis. I cannot get the (!)(P) warning light to go out. I have an Auto Park setup and have replaced bith switches. From what I understand this is a light for a manual parking brake which I do not have. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Tom did contact me on RV.net - - I have suggested he check his AutoPark system for actuator overtravel. If the parking brake shoes or cable are in need of adjustment, this can lead to overtravel - - which in turn can cause that lite to go on.

Overtravel is somewhat analagous to having a service brake pedal that is going all the way to the floor. The purpose of the overtravel alarm is to make you aware of this condition.

I "tightened" my cable and the light went out and the the buzzer quit buzzing. It's telling you that the cable has loosened and that the brake is not fully retracting.
Contact oldusedbear for more details. He is the one who helped me understand the problem.
