Good morning Guys,
I'm having the brake recall done next week,
I want to replace all the brake pads while
they have the thing apart, I was looking on
Oemy"s site and there are P/N's posted,

BXMKD786 Brake Pads 73mm-66mm Bendix
PFH078610 Brake Pads 73mm-66mm Performance Friction

My question is this,
Are these front or rear pads ??
Or is the front and rear the same pad ??
If they the same pad I'll just buy two sets.
Thanks

The key is 786... All the other numbers/letters are the OEM. Most any good parts house or truck center can xref those numbers to their part number.

Typically you want to change brake pads anytime they get below 20-30% of their original thickness, so, if your rear pads are above this level then you don't NEED to replace them, but you may want to just so you don't have to worry about it later. One thing to remember is that there are a lot of really good aftermarket and performance brake pads that are much better than the stock OEM pads and in many cases can cost quite a bit less. you can look at any truck parts online...

Rather than looking at a brake pad and evaluating a percentage of what is worn or left without anything to compare it to, the quickest index to use is the back plate. You will want to replace your brake pads when the friction material is the same thickness as the steel back plate. That's the quick and easy method and anyone can see the index w/o calculating a percentage.
