Just had the brake recall done. Only paid for front / back pads. If you're in the Chicago area, I highly recommend Champion Frame & Alignment in Elgin. I've used there service since 2004. Had Ultrapower done there too. Excellent Service..... Ask for George, tell him Rudy sent ya..

good deal! I hope that you also have taken the time to visit the "Rate The Dealer" on the workhorse website. Go to the service tab.

I had mine done in Orlando. The International (now Workhorse) Maudlin International, quoted 2 days, promised it in a day because we are full timers, got it out in five hours
In additivity to the calipers, the replace two cracked rotors (major cracks) on left side, and two melted ABS sensors on the right side. Also replaced the ABS relay. All I paid for is the new pads as two of them showed signs of delamination. I was very surprised at the very minor wear on the pads, even after 57,000 miles. The then used laptop to reset all of the codes, and my gas mileage went back to what is was two years ago.

Maudlin has several operations in Florida. Good folks

Had my calipers and Atwood jack fixed at Libertyville , Il. Chev. also a Workhorse sevice dealership. They did a great job. Pads and rotors still ok at 22.000.

Had mine done Tuesday. Had new pads front and rear installed because the originals were wearing at an angle. Rotors were fine.
The cost for the pads installed was $200. Can't complain because I just turned 50,000 miles.

I had the brake recall done on my 2004 Newmar Scottsdale with 68000 miles at Joe's RV and Truck in Lake Havasu AZ on Tuesday. I have not had any issues with my brakes to date. When I called for an appointment Diane recommended because of the mileage that I have the brake fluid flush for $100.00 and replace the shoes for $166.00. I agreed and showed up for my appointment at 10 am. When I returned in a couple hours to check on our dog the mechanic showed me the large crack in the passenger side rear rotor. I did not see any pad transfer and as I mentioned earlier never had a noticeable lockup or overheat situation. They recommended that I replace both rear rotors at an additional $190.44 for 2 rotors, $80.30 for 2 seals and $180.00 for labor. The total bill came to $741.66. I don't know why the rotor would crack but I feel fortunate that after 68000 miles I got out of the shop with a whole new set of brakes for that amount.

that just about the amount of mileage I had when I had all my brake components replaced in June of 2008. During the recall I had about ~85,000 miles (I'd have to check) and all I needed were a set of rear pads.

Just had the 50901C recall work done on my 2002 Fleetwood with 40,000 miles. Would not have minded paying for pads but was appalled at the $1500 bill for replacing all rotors, sealsl, pads etc. We have had numerous overheating problems and 3 complete brake failures narrowly avoiding fatal accidents. I contend all that overheating shortened the life of the rotors. I think workhorse is letting customers foot the bill for their cost of the recall....Don H

Mine were completed at Desert Truck, Mojave Ca. No additional work needed beyond calipers. I asked them to measure the pads for me, and I have 1/4" to 3/8" left. (Slightly more than half life left). The coach only has 17350 miles on it. I get excellent life on brakes with my pickups, so this was a little disappointing. However, by the time we finally took delivery on it new???, it had over 3000 miles, and there were a lot of signs of abuse by the delivery and dealer drivers, so at this point I am considering the excessive pad wear to be from that. Will pull them myself at at about 24,000 and check again. I did have the left front warm up slightly bringing it home, and this morning I picked the front end up and check for drag. Could not feel anything, but if I spun the left tire by hand, it would get a full revolution. The right one, only about 2/3 of a turn. Did this a number of times to verify. I called the shop, and they are pretty sure it is because the original pads are on it, and with the new calipers there might be some drag for a while. I could see this if I had a new rotor, but that is not the case. They were pretty sure about this, so will stay with it for now. Overall I think they did a good job. They made a few extra checks for me, at no charge. I think Desert did a good job.
