How long should it take to have the recall done? My closest select center wants me to bring it in and leave it till it's done. they are in a north suburb of Detroit. I am not too keen about leaving it there. The next closest select is over 100 miles down in Ohio. I wasn't under the impression it was such a long thing to do. I haven't any brake troubles and am about to say to heck with it.

Mine was completed in about 4 hours including a seal and 2 sensors. I made the appointment 2 weeks prior along with some other work which rounded the time to one day in and out.

4 to 6 hours maximum. Drop it off in the morning and pick it up after lunch. Don't blow it off because you have not had problems with your brakes.

I had no Intentions of " blowing it off". I didn't want to take it 100 miles and leave it so they could "work it into our system". They wouldn't give me a definite appointment. With gas at almost $4 a gallon I don't appreciate making extra trips if it could be done in a day.

I had mine done yesterday at Fisher Chevrolet in Yuma, two hours, they replaced the four calipers, no other work was needed.

I finally have an apponitment on 4-14 to get the recall done. Found a service center that will do it and it won't have to be worked into there schedule. they said allow about 5 hours if there are no other problems. I'll be glad to get it done as we finally have nice weather and I'm ready to go camping.

Brakes are done!!! Had a 7 am appointment at Cummins Bridgeway in Saginaw, Michigan. I got there at 6:50 and they were waiting for me. We went to breakfast and my wife did some shopping. Went back at 11 to see how they were doing and she was on the phone calling to tell us it was done. Excellent job and very friendly people. Curiously it is owned by the same company as the one that wouldn't give me an appointment and wanted me to leave it so they could work it into there schedule.
