Brake Recalled Fixed?

I recently purchased a used 2005 W20 chassis, and not sure how to tell if the brake recall work has been completed. Can someone share what to check for to determine if the recall work was done?

This is the RoadMaster chassis area... A W-20 is not a RoadMaster chassis...

WELCOME to the Workhorse forum.

If you don't find a yellow sticker with the recall number 51101-C and the date completed placed under the "hood" somewhere near the master cylinder, then you can verify the "new" calipers by the following:

The new calipers can be identified via the caliper assembly date code, .........
The caliper assembly date code is etched into the part just below the casting part number
4153269 .The first date code was 0155A.

So, IOW, looking at the back side of each caliper you will see the part number 4153269 MOLDED in the metal. The "date code" will be stamped into the metal in under the part number. Any number greater than 0155A means you have new calipers. Absent ANY number stamped under the casting part number means you still have the old style which were recalled.

If you can't get under your chassis to check, then post the last 8 digits of your chassis vin # and I will check the WCC records for you.
