Brake Burn
On a recent trip across Florida in my 2004 Four Winds Infinity motorhome, the ABS light lit up. I pulled over and checked the manual to see if it was safe to continue driving. The manual stated it was safe, but I have ABS brakes, so I immediately ended my trip. I called the nearest Workhorse dealership to get the problem fixed. After I dropped off my motorhome, I received a call from the service technician who informed me that I was lucky I made it. On all four wheels, the brake pads had welded themselves to the calipers and couldn’t be moved. He also let me know that the speed sensors were melted. I had to pay $2,164.02 to have them replaced.
When I called Workhorse, the representative suggested that I turn in my invoice for reimbursement. I followed those instructions, but shortly afterward Workhorse informed me the claim was denied. I called the dealer and asked if they could send me a detailed explanation of the problem so I could resend the claim, thinking that the original invoice wasn’t sufficient. I resubmitted the claim and haven’t heard back from Workhorse. I’d like to be reimbursed for the $2,164.02 it cost me for the repairs.

ACTION LINE: A petition was sent to Workhorse Custom Chassis, and the following update later came from Good Sam member Bob Heil:
I just received a call from Workhorse informing me that a check is in the mail to reimburse me for the brakes and rotors. I’d been turned down by them and wouldn’t have received anything without Action Line’s help. Thank you.

And also saw another story in February issue of Highways.
What's up with Good Sam Club's Action Line going to bat for their members for WH brake work reimbursement?
Has anyone here tried that?
