I have an appointment for the WH recall and was quoted a price of $1500 to replace the rotors and pads if needed. Is that a reasonable price?

RIDE10, Obviously you have found one of the "Select Service Centers" and he has given you the P1P pricing schedule.
In regard to the 1,500.00 that you were quoted you should have been told that you will get new calipers, rotors, 4 sets of pads, seals, gasket, fluids and labor including taxes - out the door.
If you have a 2002 motorhome chassis and the opportunity to drive away with all new brakes for $1,500.00, you bet it's worth it!
You know that loud Staples commercial; "Now that's a good price!" .... I'd got with it.

If rotors and pads were damaged due to caliper failure... The proper price in my book is $0.00
IF they wore out due to miles driven.. Then it's a good price.

I was told that they would cover what was included in the 1500 after they looked at
my brakes. If they are even close I would sure feel safer with the complete job, just
did not know what a job would run. Thanks for the info

[QUOTE=RIDE10;696255]I have an appointment for the WH recall and was quoted a price of $1500 to replace the rotors and pads if needed. Is that a reasonable price?
Today I talked to my local Workhorse Center and have lined up for repair.
In July I was told about the Workhorse offer for new brakes, bearings, seals, pads, etc on my 2004 chassis for $1500.00 range and I told repair center I wanted this done on my RV. I think it is well worth the price to be able to drive away with all new brakes and things related to the brakes since I have had three heating problems and do not know what the heat has done to the bearings, seals, etc.
The brake repair is free but I am paying for the additional repairs.

KV41 Thanks, After 8 years it probable would be smart to have the complete job. Only have about 35000 on the vehice but the age on the brakes could be a problem.
Pretty sure I ll go with the full deal unless the tech says otherwise.
