2004 W20 Allegro 32'. I have trouble getting the mechanical E Brake to really lock in. It's adjusted properly but doesn't seem to have the holding power needed for the rig.

I noticed that when I shut off the engine and still have my foot on the brake pedal there is a sound coming from the brake pedal. Kind of a rumbling sound that is mechanical in nature. Is this some sort of way to pressurize the brake system on top of the mechanical e-brake?

So I guess it has nothing to do with helping out the parking brake?

Ok thanks guys. When i heard the noise on the regular brake at shut down, I was hoping that it was some sort of hydraulic assist for the parking brake. I guess the parking brake is just weak. I'll do some adjusting.
