I hear so many of you talking about it. What do you do there? and as a group, what do you do?
I don't even know what a rally is.
I'm just wondering what my wife and I will be doing when we are'nt going to MX races , or to the lake to wakeboard with my son and his friends.
I mean, I did Google Branson and it sounds like an interesting place to visit. I'd hate ruin it for Driver when he hears Max49 is there, but he'd get over it. (just had to say that Driver )
I'm just thinking about what we might do when I'm retired.

Rally = A gathering of RV types.
Branson = A national rally of folks from IRV2. Lots of things to do. See the sites of Branson (lots of big names stars) such as shows, Sliver Dollar City etc. There will be seminars, lots of eating, get togethers, put faces to names etc.

Max,
Click on the graphic above to see what you're missing. You are actually closer to Branson that I am. We're departing in about 2 Hrs.

Well thanks for the invite guys and that does sound like fun for a reasonable charge. I'd like to do that sometime and meet you guys too. We certainly have some things in common, that's for sure. I go thru St.Louis on my way to Indiana and to Fla. sometime too.
I can't do it now. I'm in road construction, ( you know that stuff we all hate, and me too), but it pays the bills, but you know this is our busy season. Maybe I can come to a rally in the winter if they have any.
Or I'll be 58, 7/30 so maybe retirement is'nt that far away.
Driver , why have'nt I ever seen one of those flyers before telling us about the rally? Have I not been looking in the right places?
Do you post them some where?
You guys have fun, I'm jealous tho.

I'll be in Florida in January and February. Maybe we can hook up.

This evening we are in Clarksville, TN at the Clarksville RV Park and Campground. Clarksville CG is located right off Exit #1 on Interstate 24. Out our front window I can see the Interstate, it's about 150 yards, but I believe that this road should get quieter as the evening wears on and thankfully it's flat out there so I don't hear any Jake brakes.
The sites are all pull thrus and although there isn't any CATV I am writing to you using their FREE WiFi. It's fast too much more so than my air card which still works but a lot slower at the moment. This campground is located very close to Fort Campbell, KY. I just saw a UH-60 Blackhawk fly past.
When I walked into the office to register the guy asked me if I was with iRV2.com? I said Yes .. He said that you're "DriVer" formerly "Fiver". So this guy goes waaaay back. I took off my hat and bowed and I said, "Yep that's me!"
Immediately my Good Sam discount did not apply, my tax was doubled and there was a fee for ground contact by 10 tires. All of that came out to $31.95. If you're a big rig, they have 20 new super sized pull thrus. I believe they said that all the sites are pull thrus. 50/30/20A W/E. Looks like 40long or better 25 or better wide.
Early on today I had to fix my left rear outside dual. Guess what??? Camping World did not install new valve stems so this one began to leak badly. I checked my air this morning and I only had 35 PSI. We were fortunate that there was a Goodyear Truck Tire Center close by the entrance to the Interstate and I saw it and made a move to for the tire shop.
Only $34.00 later, new valve and labor and we were on our way. Great shop - excellent service from "Wingfoot", 150 Wiggins Rd., Candler, NC 28715.

Mike,
Sorry to hear about the tire problem but fortunately it was a minor issue and you caught it quickly. We'll be arriving at ABC CG tomorrow, tonight were at Camelot RV Park in Poplar <STRIKE>Grove</STRIKE> Bluff, MO using their free WiFi.
Nice clean little park right off US 60 with full 50 amp hookups and CATV. Friendly office staff/owner and fair rates at $25 with the Good Sam discount. See y'all in Branson!

Richard,
We'll be arriving at ABC perhaps tomorrow evening IF I can get going early enough. Other wise we'll be staying at a park in Van Buren, MO. This morning's delay of about an hour didn't set us back too much since as we arrived here at 3:00pm. I could have kept going but there's no need to push that hard.

OK, I'll bite. What led him to ask? ED
