There was a thread last year about the "buzzing" noise in the front area of the UFO chassis. All indications were that the noise was a leak in the ball canister resievor. I replaced the resievor last year and thought the problem was fixed. I just had the AC compressor replaced again, this one lasted 11 months, and the shop tells me the leak is actually at the control switch. Does the vacuum hose go to the switch? Does anyone have a part number for the switch? I looked at the Winnebago online parts catalog and couldn't find the switch listed.
Didn't know if I should post here or on the Winnebago forum so I am posting in both locations.

The rule of thumb is high pressure Workhorse ... anything else coach builder.
Have you downloaded the 2009 Chassis Guide? That might help you by describing the system.

I called Winne and they tell me my non Workhorse AC parts were supplied by Victory Climate Systems. They gave me the part number for the complete Control Panel. I have left messages with them to see if I can order the 7 position mode switch separately.

I do not understand how the ac controls can affect the compressor and the ac freon to cause a freon leak. The ac controls can malfunction because of a vacuum control leak but that should not cause a leak in the freon system that would affect the compressor and other parts of the freon system. It should simply mean your controls are not controlling the ac system properly.

It is the AC controls that aren't working properly due to the vacuum leak. Max AC will not work, AC works, it also leaks in the off position.

The sound could be a fan behind the frig. We had a buzzing noise in ours and turned off the frig. We still heard it until my husband flipped the breaker that controls the fan behind the frig and it stopped instantly.
