Which Cold Air Intake (CAI) unit gives the best air flow and performance for a 8.1 Workhorse? An Ultra Power CAI or Banks CIA? I understand that the Banks unit gives a better flow because of the vortex it creates from their box design.

The Banks desgin uses parts of the old WCC supplied system. The UltraPower version completely replaces the WCC system. Which is better. The only way to tell would use the same coach and test each version on a dyno. Remember you realy need to compare apples to apples.

The Banks uses 2 components off the WCC system. The Tuba and the
half of the air box that holds the filter, (K&N) and does enlarge
the opening out of the tuba and into the air box. (approx.3in. to
maybe 4.5in.)

Also Banks replaces (ENLARGE AND STRAIGHTEN) EVERYTHING out of the MAF
to the INTAKE. ENLARGE AND STRAIGHEN is why I chose BANKS!!!!
As I member K&N ADVERTISES a gain of 18hp?
And UP ADVERTISES a gain of 22hp?

*YOUR RESULTS MAY VARY !!!!

UP change everthing from the Tuba to the MAF. and uses the WCC system
from the MAF to the INTAKE. That the way it was when I was comparing
CAI. Course thing can change....Tenn.
