I have not used them for Workhorse authorized repairs, but have used them for general warrantee work on our rig, which we purchased new there. It is an authorized WH service center so they will be able to do the work just fine. Just stay away from all the new units on display. It could be hazardous to your wallet.

Bob, That's hard to do especially since the "other" wallet drain is on the other side of the complex and it comes with shopping carts.

Been there and done that, made the mistake of taking my credit card with me. I always leave it at home now.

Don't forget to "Rate the Dealer" as well as sharing your experiences with the rest of us....
ie, what you had to pay for and why. What was corrected and what was not.
Happy Motoring!

Well I picked up my motor home from Lazydays this afternoon. I can answer some of my questions, but not all. If you are not impatient like me, lazydays seems to do an adequate job. I had an appointment at 0800 yesterday, met with service advisor, which I never established a rapport with, and he finally explained to me about the l499 special, after telling me that I told him I didnt want it. No brainer, I was sure that having a 8 year old rv that I was going that route. I was staying with the rv until the job was done, but that didnt happen. They took the rv in and removed the wheels, notified me at 1000 that I needed the complete job, $1499 out the door. They also informed me that I need a bell zirt, $180. I agreed and they told me it would probable be late that day before it would be ready and it could be tomorrow.
I elected to drop the rv and go home. No call Tues night, on Wed at 2 I called
and was told it would be ready around 4, a few minutes later they called back for me to pick it up. I have no idea if any of the replaced items were collateral damage or not, I only saw the brakes with the wheels removed. Any way the cost would have been zero for the calipers, $1499 out the door for the up grade. If you are at a dealer
that will show you the parts and explain a little you might get reimbursed for some of the up grade. Thats my story after waiting and watching for quite a while.

Boy, It looks like you were ridden hard and put away wet! The dealer here will show you all the brake parts when they take the wheels off so that you'll know right away what's going on. He is cranking out 3 to 4 a day, no extended waiting periods I understand. If there are collaterally damaged parts he will process thsoe for reimbursement. They take pictures of all 4 wheel ends and save them with the client records.

I live about 9 miles from Lazydays and I will never have them do service on my RV. I have purchased two RV's from them.
I would take the RV to a Truck shop and have the wheels pulled and check the work they said they did. Bring a Camera.

What is this up grade

Is this some kind of a RIP OFF or what

Still waiting for my recall letter,

Ron

Ron I dont think it is a rip off, especially if you have a rv that is 8 or 9 years old. The calipers are free, however if you need rotors, seals, pads
you get it at a special price. $1499 out the door. You just need to go to
a reliable dealer and let them show you what you need, some items could be collateral damage and a good dealer will try to get reimbursement from
workhorse and that would reduce the $1499. I think you save about $1000 for a complete brake job by doing it with the recall. (They also change all the brake fluid). It is probable explained better on this Site by Driver, but
this gives you an idea. All you need for the recall is your VIN .

Ron, You have a 2002 motorhome. What this upgrade path achieves is to offer you the opportunity to drive away from the service center with all new brake components for approximately $1,000.00 off the regular price that you would pay if you did this later. One thing is for sure, given the age of your vehicle, you can pay now at reduced rates or you can pay later at the regular rate. Regardless 8 year old brakes are going to need to be refurbished within the next couple of years. Do it now while you can take advantage of this offer.

On the other hand if you already have had new rotors etc., then by all means only buy what you need or "Nothing At All!" It's entirely up to you and no one is holding you hostage to the upgrade. Again, if they find any collaterally damaged components, those will be replaced free of charge at which point the upgrade will cost you that price less the collaterally damaged and covered parts.

You are under "No" obligation to participate. Grab the 4 calipers and just leave, it's up to you.
