The chassis front console control module keeps blowing fuse number 2, a 20 amp ACC power-relay fuse. When it does I get an alarm on the ip. I can't find what this fuse does or what I lose when it blows. The alarm is irritating. I think it might have something to do with the battery boost from the house batteries but I am not sure. Any ideas?

I think this has something to do with my chassis battery boost. Possibly I have a bad solenoid that isn't releasing so I am getting an overvoltage to the chassis battery. I sure thought that some of you techy guys might be able to help me with this one!

Gramps, why not give Bravel's a call at 877-786-1576, this fuse is mentioned in their UltraPower Tips section.

I am sure the fuse has something to do with the house system, it is an aux power fuse for the body builder, just have to narrow down what it does. Still think it has something to do with the boost solenoid, cause it gets stuck until I tap it with a wrench.

I changed my solenoid this past year and that piece sho nuff costs a couple of bucks I guarantee ...
Once Beau bolted in the new solenoid it's been working great ever since. Never did pop a fuse though. The bad solenoid allowed my coach batteries to run down while under way plus I couldn't use the E Boost feature.

-Gramps-, Depchief actually purchased the relay locally. Please drop him a note if you can. I'll see if I can get a hold of him for you.

Gramps The solenoid is a common 12 volt continuous duty type. You might find that the factory original has only one small connection. The new will have 2. Make up a short ground wire and run from the small right side to the bolt holding the solenoid to the chassis for ground.
By checking with a meter you will know immediately after starting the engine if you have cured the issue.

Gramps:
Believe PPL Motorhomes in Houston may have the part---you can access their website and then look at spare parts section. I bought the 12V relay of the Allegro I had previously and it was at my doorstep in two days.
Regards

Depchief. The solenoid has four connections. One on either side with large red welding wires that go to the house and chassis batteries and two small gage wires that I guess go to the booster switch.

Gramps: The two large RED wires are the full 12 volt high amperage wires. 4 gauge or larger. The two smaller wires are the activation wires. These could be 14 gauge or so. If you trace I believe you will find one will go to ground, the other is used to activate and pull in the solenoid.
The solenoid will act the same as a relay. When you test, with the engine off, the 12 volts should not go thru the solenoid. If you want to prove the solenoid is defective, with the engine running, place a jumper across the two large terminals, you will see the batteries begin to get the full output of the alternator around 14.2+ volts. If you have a momentary switch for low battery starting you might hear the solenoid activate when you push the button.
Not being familiar with the HR wiring kind of hinders help with fuses, locations, etc

The fuse is to the ACC aux power relay which controls the AC. It turns out that the AC condensor/coil blower is bad, drawing over 70 amps, blowing the fuse and shutting down the AC. Because I have not used the Air much lately, I didn't make the connection. Thanks to Rodney at McGeorge Rolling Hills, Taylor at HR/Monoco and Eric at Workhorse we narrowed it down and a new fan is on order. It was a real pain figuring it out, let me tell you and I will soon. I learned a lot over the last four weekdays about my coach.

-Gramps-, Glad you got that situation under control.

I replaced the condensor fan myself yesterday. Man, the new fan is much louder than the original one. Maybe it always had a problem. I ran the AC for quite sometime, the fuse in question stayed intact.
