Centering steering wheel

I installed a new bell crank on my 96 Dolphin 535 P30. Now the steering wheel is off center clockwise. Do you pull the steering wheel to center it or do I have to move the pitman arm?
Thanks.

I believe pulling the steering wheel would be the correct method. Pitman arms as best I can recall, are "timed" to the gear box.

Maybe, but my 97 F53 Fleetwood is indexed at the steering wheel. You must center the steering wheel by moving the pitman arm.
Thanks for your input.

Use the drag link to adjust the steering wheel.

Either by re-positioning the steering wheel, or changing length of the drag link, depending on circumstance, and amount to be moved. The pitman arm is indexed to the steering box shaft, and can't be moved.

The steering wheel should never be removed to center the wheel. The pitman arm is splined with 3 or 4 large grooves which will not allow you to move that either.
The gear box should be centered with the wheel in the straight across position so the gears inside the steering box are on what is called the high point. This also means you will have an equal amount of turns each way from center to left and center to right. From the factory the steering wheel will have a mark as will the column shaft. This is done with the gear box on the high point before the wheel and shaft are marked.
The reason your wheel is not centered now is the holes drilled in the bell crank are at a different spacing.
I would recommend you take the MH to an alignment shop and have the toe in checked and the wheel centered properly.
