I have the W-22 Chassis with the 8.1 Vortec engine. I let the oil change run time run a bit longer than ususal and got a message to Change Engine Oil.

The oil and filter have been changed and I still get that message to Change Engine Oil. Is there anyway to clear it or is something else going on?

Thanks

Hi Chief,

If you have the Workhorse service manual, the procedure can be found on page # 8A-24.

What you do is:

1) Turn the ignition key "on". Do NOT start the engine.

2) Pump the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. Be sure to go all the way down to the floor and let it all the way up each time.

3) Turn the ignition key "off".

4) Leave it off about 15 seconds. Then turn it on and the warning should be gone.
