I have looked in the Chassis Guide for VIN information regarding my "Chassis birthdate" but the closest it shows is year=04.

A frame upgrade I'm considering needs to know if it was manufactured prior to 10/27/03.

I purchased this motorhome on 12/15/03 so odds are it was manufactured prior to 10/27/03.

How can I find out it's real birthdate?
Thanks

Someplace on your coach there should be a "Federal Certification Tag" It was installed by the coach manufacturer. One of the entries is "Date of Inc Veh Mfr:"

In my case, the date 9/02. Whereas the coach was manufactured in 12/02.

My rig has a "plate" on the inside of the driver's door, with the month/year of chassis manufacture:

"Incomplete Vehicle Manufactured
By Workhorse CC 11/02 "

Workhorse, however, considers it a 2003 chassis.

Thanks to those that responded. I'll have a look next time I'm at the coach.

Thudman... I assume you were a 105 pilot. Ever fly out of Korat, Thailand?

Yup. Korat 65-66; Takhli 69-70. Were you there?

Mine was built Dec 03. So as an 04 model year I missed the 50 degree steering and Bilstein shocks. When I asked Newmar about it, they basically said tough bounce that's the way it is. It took over a month to get them to give me the shocks. 04 specs didn't hit the line till Apr of 04.
