Chassis Center Storage
I thought I would put a post out here since the relevance is more focused on a Class A gasser, specifically a Workhorse chassis. In the rear of the coach, there is a large pass through area where the center is higher than the outboard storage just inside the door. Has anyone come up with a good way to access and secure items stowed in the area (see photo)? I was thinking of a sliding tray, but don't think it would work well.
Any input?

I had a similar WH. I put 1x1 wooden boards on the edges and loaded storage cartons with side handles. Lift a tad and pull. The stuff in there was the least often used.

I was wondering about one of those rolling containers designed to go under the bed.

As a thought/consideration - I don't want a lot of extra weight that far back which may happen with putting drawers back there. I try to keep big light stuff there (extra 'new' sewer hose, outside camp table, fishing poles, metal detector, ect).

We keep a mounted spare tire on this ledge. 1/3 on the ledge, 2/3 in space with bracing.

I keep our folding chairs in that space. They never seem to move around.

I opened up the panel above the tow hitch. and slide a mounted spare in there between the frame rails, 22.5 fit just right. Hope I never need it.
