Batteries are the original so 11 years old runs fine and the "engine start" battery is new. Know any service centers in Waxahachie, TX. Can I take it to Chevy dealer?

The check engine light would most likely be related to an emission control device or sensor. The alternator light would indicate a problem with s separate component in the charging circuit.

Looks like 2 problems for the price of one! Opinion only: I do believe that there aren't any 132 month batteries out there. Might simply need to change your automotive battery and re-evaluate the situation.

It would be cheaper than the drive to the dealer, lost productivity, an hour or more of labor plus the cost of the new battery.

Thanks for the info. I am new at the RV thing and will probably be asking questions here often. My battery to start the engine is new and the two 6v batteries for the RV are the originals. So should probably just change them out to start? Again thaks for any information.

Aggiepi,

Try disconnecting the 2 6 volt batteries and see if the condition still persists.
