2oo4 Pace Arrow 28000 Miles Seem to be losing power. While in cruise was running 62 at 2200. Now2400 keeps me at 62 and tack tends to go up and down.Yep I,ve got brake problems ,both driver side abs sensors melted and right rear heats up at times. I don't think its a brake dragging. took to local mechanic and we took ride with computer hooked up could not find the problem.I,m in Rockport Tx. and plan to take it to WH Dealer in central Texas If we ever get a BRAKE RECAL. Had planned to go to Big Ben next month but was hoping to get engine up to snuff before I left, Gas mileage is terrible Any ideas what to look for? Thanks GREG

I think you confused every body with the increased RPM needed to maintain the same speed. Especially since you said it was'nt a brake dragging. Could be tranny problem if you need 200 more RPM to maintain 60 on a flat surface. Plug wires will certainly reduce engine power but 2200 rpm should yield you the same speed on a level road without a head wind.

Might also be an aberration with the instrument cluster if you cannot hear or feel the increase or decrease in RPM. You might check the grounds.

If your gas mileage is really BAD, you may want to replace your O2 sensors. It worked for us!

My info is the classic case of " a little knowledge can be a dangerous" so absorb what you want and ditch the rest. A while back my ABS light was on. When cruising, I noticed a change in RPMs of 150 -200 RPMs for no apperent reason. It was almost like I was "shifting" in and out of a gear. After I got my brake and ABS issues resolved, this "shifting" went away. I was later told that the torque converter was locking and unlocking due to the ABS issue. This was causing the difference in the RPM's. I know someone else on this forum had the same issue but was unable to locate their post. IMHO I think if you get your brake issue resolved, you will not have the RPM change.
