Instead of trying to explain how I hooked up my fans to work automaticaly or manualy in a PM I'll just post this link
2007/2008 W20 Vanishing Fans

2007/2008 W20 Vanishing Fans

I can't explain it any better than here but after about a year of driving and pulling trailers in the mtns, my temp gauge has stay welded in the middle.
Since I can foresee a hard working engine climbing the mtn long before the engine knows it I can turn it on in advance and leave it on as long as I want. The 'roaring fans' may come on a little less too. Also, It may help the performance of the AC. It's either better now or maybe I just learned to accept that 'it is what it is'. If I don't turn them on manually, they will still come on automaticaly, but I know when they're on or off by the green indicator light.
I did add some more switches tho.
