I have a 2004 Fleetwood Storm on a W22 chasis with steel wheels and hub caps. I have a set of crossfire 90 psi that I left with the shop to install when I had my brake recall done and they could not install them. Any ideas or pictures on a install method would be appreciated. Thanks

I put a set of crossfires on my old Fleetwood Flair P-32 Workhorse chassis with 225-19.5 tires with no problems. I used the supplied angle bracket to mount the gauge to one of the hub cap nuts. I remember I had to mount the angle bracket first, then mount the gauge to the bracket. I don,t see why they would not fit a W-22 or W-20 chassis. The valve stems need to be 180 degrees apart.

I liked the piece of mind of having them. Knowing my inner dually was not flat. I looked at them at every gas stop. They were in the red because the tires heated up while driving.

I can't put a picture up now, new PC, no ftp program yet to put a pic on my web space..
It is a little challenging to install on 19.5 wheels. You have to work out where the inner and outer stems have to be along with where you are going to mount the sensor.
My chrome covers are held on with two fake chrome lug nuts. I used one of those to mount the sensor. I had to find a nut with the same thread as the wheel stud to hold it on.

Thanks for the help. The tech was followimg the supplied directions that advise using the lug nuts and cutting the hub cap. I'll try using one of the nuts that hold the hubcap on

My Crossfire is mounted directly on the hub of the cover. A hole is drilled and a short bolt is provided that holds the Crossfire in place.

TIP: When you mount the unit, position the CF over a fixed lug nut cover and make sure that the removable lug nut covers are not in the way.

I did not want to drill the hub cover so I opted to use the cap retainer nut and use the supplied bracket. http://i911.photobucket.com/albums/a...ssfire-pic.jpg

born2camp.......in the picture of your Crossfire installation, it appears you have a T on each side where you mount your TPMS sensors. Can I ask where you found the T's? Crossfire accessory? Thanks.

Remove the bracket for valve extension hose and drill hole in hub to fit bolt on crossfire . Attach crossfire guage by placing bolt from inside hub.

dajudge, That's what I did. The lug nut - jamb nut - mount seems to be the way to go.

On my SS wheel covers - Ahhh no big deal. It's been like that for about 3 years. Chip installed them if you know who he is.

My problem is my hand won't fit through the hole in the simulator (Wheel cover) and barley fits through the hole in the rim... So I can't put it on.

Any near Dairan GA with small hands?

I have a set for my 2005 Jamboree 26Q. 85lbs. I took them over to the tire shop that I got my tires from and wanted them put on the last time they rotated my tires they came up with several excesses as to why the couldn't do it. The only problem was that when I went there after I went to the Post Office one morning and made the appointment to have the tires rotated I asked them if they would install the Crossfire's. I talked to the manager. The day I went in there which was a Saturday and my appointment was for 0800 hrs. The first appointment of the day there was a different manager there. So I guess I will take them over to a commercial truck tire shop and have them do it.

Oldtimer,

Jeff at DualDynamics referred me to Ed Donley when I called and wanted a different crossfire setup. They developed a CrossFire system with a valve stem on each hose and, also, the central airing system that comes out of the unit itself. You can screw the sensors onto the valvestems of each hose. This allows you to air the tires through the central airing stem, and gives you easy access to screwing the sensors onto to the valve stems of each hose.
You can reach Ed at 800-774-1944.
