I have heard that a brake light being out can keep some cruise controls from working. At one time there was a switch at on the brake pedal that could get out of adjustment.

There is a 90% chance your problem is an out of adjustment brake light switch. It's located under the dash near the steering column. It is made of nylon and is very flimsy. If there is anything wrong with the brake light circuit (light bulb, fuse, brake light switch, etc.)the cruise control will not work. Been there done that...Good luck. Let us know what you find.

I'm not positive, but isn't the "Throttle Position Interface" the black box on top of the throttle pedal?

Had the same issue and it was the brake light switch that had become faulty along with one of the brake lights being burned out.

I like that "I have heard of the brake switch", IN fact, so have I, and let me tell you I was also very glad to hear that said switch, at the time, was under FULL WARRANTY!!

I was coming home from one county north when the cruise control refused to work, I turned the engine off, and back on, and now the ABS alarm went off and that system did not work either.

Turned out to be teh brake switch (the one part common to both systems)

There are several sensors on a vehicle but the cruise uses 2 or 3 or 4, (Not counting the control switche(s))

They are: Vehicle speed sensor, Most modern vehicles have one already and the CC just uses it.

Crash Sensor (Optional) this is a steel ball on an inclined ramp (45 degrees) sitting so the "Front' part of the ramp is higher than the "Rear" there are a pair of electrical contacts at the base of the ramp. If you hit something the firewall stops NOW, stopping the ramp but since the ball can roll, it does, breaking the connection and telling the CC. WOAH Big fella.

The brake light switch. This is the pain in the computer more often than not. The unit looks for two things on the brake light switch

It looks for battery voltage on the hot side

And ground on the load side

IF it sees no 12vdc, then (Blown fuse for example) it refuses to work

If it sees 12v/12v It assumes FOOT ON BRAKE and it shuts down

If it sees 12v/0v, it assumes normal operation

If the brake lights are toast (Burned out) then it sees 12/12

Update on throttle position interface.

After numerous reviews of the WCC service manual, I have discovered the "Throttle Position Interface" as discribed in the electrical drawings, is actually the "Throttle Actuator Control Module"

This may sound simple but has happened, have you checked to make sure the brake pedal is coming all the way back up?

Update: As suggested, I checked out the brake lights. They were inop.. Also, I had a hard brake pedal ( engine not running) and could not here the boost motor running. Replaced a blown "brake/hazard" fuse. Don't know what blew the fuse, but the MoHo seems to be OK, so I will check out the towed wiring.
