Can anyone tell me this? Why would Workhorse design a dash gauge lighting system that leaves the temp and fuel gauges dark when it is the red color scheme? All other colors illuminate all of the gauges except red.

I take it you has an 06 or later instrument cluster? I have not observed this event although I know that you can cycle through 6 or so colors.
