Cannot get oil change message to reset 2004 workhorse. Never have had any problems in pass. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Chief400, Turn the key to the "ON" position (do not start the engine) .... press the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds. You will see the cluster will flash a bit. Turn the key off and then turn it back on. The message will go away and the OLM will be reset.

I have not seen where the OLM would not reset, I'll have to ask and find out what could be the trouble.

If there is nothing (like a floormat) preventing full travel of the gas pedal "to the floor", then perhaps the TPS needs an adjustment. Something has to be "telling" the ecm that you didn't press the pedal to the floor three times in 5 seconds, unless the key switch is in wrong position. Ed

Haven't seen that problem on here nor RV.net.

I'm on my third Actia cluster and I've seen a lot of complaints about that cluster but yours isn't one of them.

Let us know what you find out.

chief400,

To reset the oil change reminder, turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position but do not start the engine. Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds, and turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position for at least 10 seconds. This info is in the "Workhorse gas motor home chassis guide", page 60.

I have followed the same procedure that is recommend by workhorse for the last several years as I change my own oil and have never had a problem until now. My dash cluster was service back when the recall was issued and have never had a problem which doesn't mean alot with the Actia cluster. Any wisdom is appreciated.

which is why I'm thinking the TPS might need to be adjusted. Ed

I want to deeply apologize to everyone for the time and trouble you took to response on the post I made. I was depressing the brake pedal instead of the gas pedal. I have never been so embarrassed. I have retraced everything I did those days to make sure I have not messed up anything else I worked on. Sorry, Thank You
