Has anyone out there ever had to replace one of the strip lights for the dash (the ones that come one when the headlights are turned on)?
One of mine is out and it appears to be a strip light glued to the back of the panel. Can they be purchased from workhorse or is there another outlet for getting them?
Also, my odometer is getting to be almost unreadable - looks like missing led segments. It's a 2005 Allegro Bay on a 2004 W22 chassis with 4500 miles. I see lots of posts about these going bad. Are the replacements any better. Mine is an orange'ish colored light.
Thanks-

Are you talking about the backlight behind the LCD display?
If so, I have the same problem with my 2004 W22 (Winnebago Brave). That is the reason I was looking through the posts on this forum. I would like to know how to make the diplay brighter.

Bill:
No, I'm talking about the lights that light the switches, for instance the left and right fan switches, aux. start etc.
It's a strip led (my guess) that is glued to the back side of the panel and shines throught the lettering on the dash panel for those.
Mine has a rheostat next to the light switch to adjust the brightness, but this one strip is completely out.

In answer to the other questions,
1. Actia, the maker of the IP is now using a display from a different source that is supposed to last much longer than the original. Due to being out of warranty, you may have to pay for a new IP.
2. You cannot make the display any brighter, if it is dim, it may be on its way out.
