Hi,
I am looking for a part# to replace my air conditioner compressor, which leaked all over the top of the engine. My 2009 W16 chassis with a 8.1L 6 grove belt, Has a Delphi 7135, 15067135 and am told it is a Workhorse Part # 52445253. I am looking for either a cross reference to a Sanden or a Delphi number I can use to order the unit on line.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Regards Ken

BTW May not be my buisness, but , could this be a warranty issue?

Also

Ordering in person may be better so you can make sure you get the correct parts.

Hi all,
Tried that route - what a mess - long story

Readers digest version follows
I live 120 miles from the nearest authorized facility, they want me to drive to their authorized facility, which will waste a full day away from work. The facility will then diagonse the problem themselves (I see the green dye that has leaked all over the top of the engine), then they will order the part and have me come back for repairs when the part arrives. I figure at 8mpg 500miles, two days off work and the wear and tear on the rig. Warranty does not compute. I am a competent mechanic with 30 years doing the work and will pay the $250 for a new part myself.

Been waiting on a response from Workhorse regional service manager. No luck yet

A dissapointed Workhorse Customer

I decided to give Workhorse a second chance to do the right thing and replace my air con compressor under warranty.
What a HUGE mistake!
Talking with the parts guy at Workhorse on the 23rd of August, I was told they have several compressors in stock. The roadside assistance folks told me my nearest authorized repair center was 73 miles away. Took the day off work (self employeed thus no pay) and headed toward the repair factlity, which was actually 145 miles away, where did they get 73 miles? The experienced GM mechanic at the repair facility, within 5 minutes, told me "these compressors always leak, they are cheap" "We need to order a new one for you". The counter guy calls workhorse, not able to talk with anyone that can make a decision waits several hours for a return call. Finally I get a call from the repair facility "The compressors are on backorder and not available until mid December". Did they sell the "Several" they had in stock in less than a week? I think not. At over $120.00 in fuel, a full day away from work and about 300 wasted miles on the rig. I am not a happy customer and wonder if this customer care is typical.

I tried several times over the past few weeks to explain the fact the compressor was defective to the folks at Workhose, with no luck. All I wanted was for them to send me a compressor, I would send the defective unit back. Have the compressor installed at my local shop and pay the installation price, which is $75.00 less than the fuel alone to return to the authorized facility. I took the rig to my local dealer when the problem first happen, they also told me the very same thing as the authorized repair facility "These compressors always leak". When the problem first happened I had 2,500 miles on the rig.

Take a look at the Tire Skates on my Rig, it stays in a climate controlled environment all winter. Goes in mid to late October and comes out March. No way am I driving it 300 miles in the dead of winter on icy snow covered roads. Additionally it's stays in a custom built outbuilding during the summer months out of the direct sunlight when not in use.

KJINTF, Where you live is your business. No one would suggest you get on the road in Montana in December to keep a service appointment. Next spring thaw make preparations and arrangements now to visit a dealer anywhere in the US to have your compressor replaced. Workhorse will pay to have the work done however I expect that you already know this and that the work must be accomplished at an authorized service center. It's in your owners manual.

Did you ever get your AC compressor repaired/replaced. We have the same problem with our 2003 Winnebago Brave. We are the second owner and by looking back in the paperwork there were problems with the Dash Air in this unit within the first year but it was never proberly repaired. The original owner passed away 1.5 years after purchase and then it was used very little. We purchased in the fall of 2010 and we are not really having too much fun. We had the AC charged twice thinking that was the problem but it was not. The last person to look at the unit said it was the compressor but we went with a sealant hoping that would work. There were also problems with the wiper motor and we ended up with them quitting in a storm in Ark coming home this spring.

Authorized Service Centers has been an issue since Workhorse went in to business. I am 50 miles from the closest one. We had the a big Chevy dealer quit for various reasons...

Parts has always been an issue... With a name of Uptime Parts someone should be ashamed to even use the name. Most parts are overpriced or non in stock and the cost to over night is almost equal to a seat on the plane.

Customer Service .... It's non existent.

I won't even get into the brake issue and the problems it caused.

Yes I did thanks, sorry should have updated the post
I purchased a new compressor and installed it myself found it to be a far easier and less costly solution than driving hundreds of miles and wasting several days. Gave up on trying to get warranty coverage. The nearest facility is 150 miles away. I believe the issue was caused by the chassis and the coach being different years. Found lots of evidence that the chassis sat out in the weather. I had loads of rust even the fuel rail was rusted up it took me weeks to get everything cleaned up properly.
