I have a 2003 HR Vacationer, on a WorkHorse chassis. For no apparent reason, my blinkers stopped working. I called HR(Monaco), was told to call Workhorse. I called WorkHorse, left a message and never heard back from them! Not a shock...
Here's the sceanario:
-emergency flashers work.
-back up lights work.
-windshield wipers work.
-fuse under dash appears good(swapped out another fuse just to make sure).
Any thoughts or suggestions, sure would be appreciated!

dylan,

I think the emergency 4-ways and the turn signals use separate flashers. It's possible the one for the turn signals is burned out. If you look under the dash on the left side of the steering column, you will see 2 canisters hanging there. I think one is for the 4-ways and one is for the turn signals. Since your emergency flashers work, turn them on and see which canister is clicking.

Paz hit the nail on the head there are two. My direction indicators failed and it was the flasher unit. Any local auto parts store should have it.

I tried to find the relay, but I'm not having any luck. Is there a picture I'd be able to look at to see exactly what I'm looking for?
Thanks again,

Dylan

I found the flasher. On my coach, it's a round, cilindrical unit. It appears that the turn signals and emergency flashers are controlled by the same unit. Doesn't make sense to me. This was my last attempt to fix it myself. All the fuses appeared to be functional. I found the part at NAPA. $2.99.
Can you believe it?!?! Camping world told me they don't stock them. The best they could do was call Monaco on Monday. And would take a while to get it, no idea on cost!
Thanks for all your help, Paul. I couldn't have done it without you!

I remember being called over to a guy's motorhome one time who told me that that darn Workhorse, the flashers are no good. Well on investigation, the flasher was found on the floor under the seat.

Now that said, finding the modular socket under the dash took me almost a half an hour plus I had no idea how I was going to get up from lying down in the small space in front of the seat.

I told the guy "I have good news and bad news!" What's that he said, "The flashers work!" ... What's the bad News .... "You're going to need a crane to get me out of here.
