I disassembled my suspension and was surprised to find the ball joints in surprisingly good condition. I unloaded them and pryed them with a large bar and didn't notice any end play and the rubber cups are all in good condition. The motorhome has 71000 miles on it and they appear to be original. Is this unusual?
I have to replace the springs and the lower control arm bushings are a little loose but overall it's in much better shape than I thought it would be.
Bushings in the bell cranks are loose but the rest of the steering assembly looks good.
Given the cost of quality ball joints, I would have a hard time replacing these. The originals are probably better used joints than new cheap china joints would be, which I would never use.

ED, If you are this far into this evolution "consider" if you will the installation of (Supersteer) roller bearing bellcranks.
