Is there a newer riser plate with provisions for four mounting points?

Let's go to the video tape .... I do not have this additional bracket. I installed mine in 2004 or 2005. I'll contact Henderson's to see what I need to do to obtain the bracket kit. Thanks for the heads-up. Picked-up Koni FSD shocks last week. Bought them from Mike at Brazel's, but Koni is just across the river from Cincinnati so they held them for my pick. Haven't had an opportunity to drive the MH since the addition, but respect your opinion and don't expect to be disappointed. Henderson Super Steer Differential Brace Bracket </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

The Henderson trac bar only requires the extra bracket when you have the smaller diameter bolts on the rear axle. The large bolts fill the hole in the bracket and will not come loose.

I installed the trac bar in November of 2004. Afterwords I called Scott at Henderson's and he is sending a kit to convert to the four bolt mounting scheme. iRV2 is a great site for information and advice!

Driver thanks for the heads up on this !!

I checked the rear end housing again and decided that by making another riser plate which is basically longer, I could capture all 3 bolts with ease. Since these are 1/2 inch bolts and by using replacement grade 8 bolts, I feel confident that I can get a nice tight/solid connection.

I made a new pattern and drawing, cut a cardboard sample to test the fit and now it is in the shop being made. I know this slows me down a little, but I believe this will work out better.

I finally finished my DIY Track Bar as inspired by OEMTech. Here are my photos:

Flytyer, nice job!

After your first trip, check the snugness on those locknuts with nylon inserts. I heard they can loosen up with high torque applications (i.e.- regular lock washers and grade 8 nuts are preferred in high torque apps).

CAUTION...CAUTION !!!

After a short trip I found the plate was a little loose ! I thought how can that be ??

Well guess what folks, the replacement bolts were the wrong size and thread !!

I used the 1/2 inch bolts that OEMTECH listed in his documentation. They threaded in OK and seem to tighten OK...but they lossened !!

It turns out on my unit's rear end housing, the bolts are metric !!

So be careful and replace the bolts as OEMTECH describes, but make sure they are correct.

Will the brackets being used on the W22 also work on a W20 chassis? If so, are you willing to supply the patterns?

I am unsure of the differences in the W20 vs the W22. But by inspection you can decide if Dale's patterns work. In my case I ended up making a new pattern to fit my situation so I could capture the 3 correct bolts.

Go to the Photo Gallery and find OMTECH's info and patterns. You can also get them by clicking on this http://photos.yahoo.com/oemtech.

When you print the patterns, they will not be actual size, but a little bit smaller. This messes up the hole pattern, but the rest might be OK. One has to crawl under the motorhome and do some checking before deciding what to do.

Make sure you read Drivers info at the top of this forum. His photos and words are very useful!!
