I changed out the LCD module approximately 30-40 days ago. In the new LCD Upgrade Kit, UltraRVProducts.com now provides a small side cutter that is perfectly sized for the modification required on the IP's main board.

RV Life Magazine will be publishing the complete install procedure shortly. That article will be available here.

Whoa! Not that easy on a Winnebago Adventurer but it was doable.

Has anyone used the BBA reman serivce? Looks to be $139 and they do the repair, I think the customer pays shipping both ways.

Just know that BBA's repairs are temporary as they just repair the same crappy screen...it will fail again.

I agree with John - Used BBA and IC failed within 30 days - did get my $$ money back from them though -

Used Module Masters for the upgrade - what a difference as I could not get the IC out myself - Money well spent !!

In this case, you may just get what you are paying for per zorro2kita. I would recommend that you consider URVP for your LCD repair project.

Very happy Module Masters customer here. 4 screws and it was out.

Now if I could just find the instructions on how to work the Actia display I'd be ecstatic.

Anyone have a link to the instructions on how to get to the various displays?

Push and hold the "Mode" button for 5 seconds and the command center will display it's diagnostic mode. Navigate up and down through the menu using the mode and trip buttons, release the buttons on the selection to choose that option. You will be amazed at the selections and options.

The last of the QF-4S are scheduled to fly toward the end of December closing the book on the Phantom II. What an excellent career she had.
