Is all this information posted clearly on the pump? Some of us old timers are used to just pumping GAS. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I don't believe it's marked on the pumps in Minnesota. You get ethanol whether you want it or not. I'm not sure what we'll do when the ethanol goes to 20% here. Maybe the Agriculture lobby will back off.

I recently drove out to Montana and filled with gas in Valley City ND. I paid .05 per gallon more for NO ethanol gas. The pumps were clearly marked. Filled again in Montana with no ethanol gas and proceeded out to Missoula and back through Buffalo Wy back to Brandon SD always filling with NO ethanol gas. I couldn't get a fair appraisal of any mileage difference because as soon as I filled in ND and for the rest of the trip, I had really nice tail winds. While I wasn't able to determine any mileage benefit, I was able to determine that NON Ethanol gas causes tail winds and that what I thought was an increase of 10 horsepower on the butt dyno turned out to be the re-fried beans. I don't have an engineering background but I have tried to be open minded and fair on this appraisal.

For people visiting Minnesota with older rigs not accustomed to ethanol gas , please bring along a couple of spare fuel filters. Ethanol really cleans out your fuel system.

Dieselclacker, I met a fuel distributor here who swore that the mileage goes down the same percent as the ethanol added. I REALLY lean toward the MN redneck thinking but I was trying to be fair. By the way, the only way to tell the difference between a MN redneck and an Iowa redneck is the Iowa redneck still has the same $5.00 bill in his pocket when he gets back home from a visit to the Mall Of America. Very thrifty bunch of very nice people in Iowa.

O, ouch... SO does that mean when we get to 100% ethanol, our mileage will go down 100%

Sorry, slow lunch

Heck Driver I have little enough space under the rig now, and the way some of the gas pumps are set to flow, it would take close to 3 days to fill all that tankage
