electrical/lighting problem

Seems I've developed a problem I can't solve yet. My unit, a 2006 Allegro Bay on a W22 chassis. Turning on right side turn signal all is OK. Turning on left not OK. Get loud O-U-GA type noise and both sides on rear blink plus the center brake light. I've checked fuses found relating to turn signals and rear lights and all are fine, plus bulbs are all good. Any suggestions out there? All are appreciated.

Pull the left brake/signal bulb out and try again. Could be the filaments are crossed inside the bulb giving you X feed into the park lights and overloading the flasher . That wouldn't explain the centre brake though.
Most times the centre brake is direct wired to the brake light switch.
Another place to check is the trailer wiring connector , open it right up and look for loose wiring , corrosion.

Unhappy

Thanks for ideas Skip. Further checking my problem might be in steering column, the turn signal multi switch or pinched wire in column. Probably not a DIY fix

I'll agree , most tilt/telescopic steering columns require special tools for switch removal.
The wiring in the column is part of the switch assembly, and a new switch can be plugged in at the base of the column to test before removing the old part.

Finally got it taken care of. I exhausted all things I thought of. Took it to a local mechanic I know. Had him stumped until I mentioned that all the tail lights on toad blinked also with the left signal on. That lead him to the convertor box for the trailer light plug in. That was it. Problem fixed.
