Electrical schematic

I need the electrical diagram for the engine starting circuit for a 2000 Workhorse. There is a coil on the left side of the steering column that is connected to the start switch by a cable that is getting very hot. No fuses are blown. All functions are normal when turning the switch on until the crank position - nothing happens.

Here is the oldest diagram we have, it says 2002 but I believe it was mislabeled and should be for MY 2000. Sounds like you may need the ignition switch kit to take some load off your ignition circuit.

Thanks Jon. While trying to find the OBD connector (located on bracket behind the parking brake switch) I moved some wires around and got one caught between the switch and the actuator rod. This prevented the key switch from going to the engine crank position. After clearing the jam everything works.
