On our last trip, each time key was turned, ignition fuse blew. (no voltage to ignition or dash panel) The 2nd road service mechanic after 3 hours found/repaired shorted wires in wiring harness under steering column, including ignition. Harness was wearing on fairly sharp metal edge to wear off insulation. Is this a common problem with WH?

Welcome daveinwnc to irv2---
I do not know how common it is but I had the same problem you had an required a tow. The ignition cable was replaced an a new ignition switch installed. What happened was the harness heated up an smoked shorting out fuse after stopping in rest area. The wiring harness bends over a curved metal piece on top of steering post an rubs thru insulation of wires every time you move steering wheel up or down. When I got home "I placed a piece of wire guard around wires going over this bend", has been ok for last two years. --"007"

Is this a Workhorse related problem of coach manufacturer problem. Where should I look on mine to see if I need to do some preventive maintenance?

Full-Timers,
The top cover on steering post facing you in seat has to come off. You will see ignition cable running over a bend at top of steering post. Lift wheel in the up position to gain enough slack in harness so you can slip a piece of wire guard around wires going over bend. This will prevent wires from rubbing on bend when you position the steering wheel. Workhorse chassis. --"007"
