Does anyone have the know how t adjust the emergency brake on a 2002 Winnebago Workhorse chasis? My emergency brake will not hold. It acts as if it isn't even engaged. I've been able to look at the pads and they seem to have plenty left. I just can't find where you adjust them.

CBChief, where are you looking for the adjustment? Pads? The parking brake is on the back of the transmission on the driveshaft, and is a drum type brake. There are two types, one is applied by foot, and the other is an automaticly applied type with push/pull knob on dash. You should determine which type you have first, as adjustment may vary by type.

The type of emergency brake I have is the one applied by foot. Looking for adjustment, pads appear to be ok.

You aren't checking them with your back wheels jacked up off the ground are you? They will spin then, you have to have the wheels on the ground in order for the emergency brake to work. Otherwise the differential lets the wheels on one side turn one way and the wheels on the other to turn the opposite direction. They won't spin in the same direction at the same time on both sides though.
