I have had this error code come up twice. It is:
Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Input (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)
Could this be caused by an exhaust leak (which I am going out to fix now)?

Probably... you need to run a scan to see if that bank is running lean (ping = knock) or you just may have a bad sensor or you just may have a bad sensor.

Thanks for the reply. When you say 'run a scan', can I do this with scangauge? What do I look for?
My exhaust leak is caused by missing bolts that hold the donuts at the bottom of the header. I had the donuts replaced at a reputable shop (300 miles away) and by the time I got home, two out of three on the left side were gone and one on the right side was finger tight. I replaced them with regular nuts and washers and they have since come out. The stock bolts have washers attached to them. Do you know the part # or a way to get the right nuts? Is there a better way to do this?

Scan = scan tool that can record all available PIDs (all sensor data) and export it for analysis. Anytime I replaced the exhaust donuts I used never seize and brass nuts.

Please use fine thread nuts & bolts PLUS lock washers with the inner portion that has the stars, (lock down) very good..

Update, I got the exhaust leak fixed and have not a recurrence of the error code in 200 miles of driving. Hope that is it.
