While driving home today, I got a "No J1850 Activity" message in the lower line of the dash LCD. I looked in my Workhorse manual, found a lot of other error messages, but not this one. When I shut the engine off and started it a few minute later, the message had cleared.
Any suggestions?

That was a message telling you that you lost the connectivity with your instrument panel. Unless this this DTC continuously pops up, it's one of the ones that do the least harm.
It has previously been seen that intermittent connectivity with the IP fuse will sometimes post a "No J1850 connectivity" Find the fuse in your coach panel, inside and pull the fuse out and push it back in. The contacts are self cleaning so it should polish them up a bit.
This would be the first thing that I would think about doing ... long term persistent DTCs may indicate a bad ECM.

Mine been in storage for last 5 months. Went to get it out and wont start or even click. tried a new battery and still nothing, then noticed the same message. What does ECM stand for? I have a 2003 National Dolphin 6355 LX. Where would I find the fuses in the coach panel? Thanks for your help sir. This is quite upsetting. Im blocking in others in storage. thanks for any help you can be.

ECM = Engine Control Module

Your inside fuse panel may be located up the top of the dash, look for a removable panel OR it may be located on the fire wall to the left of the steering wheel.

Thanks.. yes I remember seeing the panel looking area on dash. Would I just look for bad wiring? Do I try to wiggle wiring in that compartment while trying to start engine? Check for blown fuses?

lilgreek7, I would not recommend wiggling of wires "while" trying to start the engine. Wire wiggling is by in large a non scientific approach that yields mixed results much of which would not be what you might expect.
Please do check all the fuses. Look at #21 as well on the inside panel.
